Ambulances to take up to 20 minutes for non-emergency cases as SCDF prioritises resources

According to Senior Assistant Commissioner Yong Meng Wah, director of SCDF’s emergency medical providers department, implementing the customers goal system is a crucial step in accelerating the emergency crew’s time of arrival in hospitals.

The customers focus system, he added, will save valuable time in important circumstances where every second counts and you determine life or death when combined with the rush phone system.

The emergency vehicle detection and response are prioritized at fire stations thanks to the hurry call system. &nbsp,

According to Mr. Alvin Chia, top party director for visitors and road operations at LTA, road users even play a vital role in reducing response times.

” Motorists are urged to give way to vehicles and other emergency automobiles in order to allow them to arrive at their destination immediately.”

NEW MYRESPONDER Game

During the workplan conference on Thursday, a fresh myResponder game was also introduced. &nbsp,

The game, which was first introduced in 2015, made it possible for listed neighborhood first responders to react to alleged cardiac arrests before SCDF arrived. The app was afterwards enhanced in 2018 to make it possible for first responders to deal with small, local fires.

As of May, more than 40, 000 instances- both respiratory arrest and small fires- were created on my Officer, SCDF said.

All registered group first responders can choose to travel by foot, bicycle, or by motor vehicle as they choose with the new application.

The first officer will be notified of incidents with an increased circle of up to 800 meters by bicycle or 1.5 kilometers by vehicle depending on the mode chosen.

Community first rescuers will also be able to see where each other’s locations on the affair chart, giving them the assurance that there is more help, according to SCDF. &nbsp,
