Bo Bai, a co-founder and chairman of MetaComp, claimed that Ms. Tin’s wealth, broad knowledge, and strategic development expertise make her an “invaluable asset” to the business.
His statement read,” I’m convinced that she will significantly add to our ongoing accomplishment, and her vision and drive properly align with our dreams at MetaComp.”
Ms Tin’s new position at MetaComp came less than nine months after the MacPherson MP , joined , DCS Card Centre, previously known as Diners Club Singapore. She oversaw company development and strategic partnerships at the company.
Before being hired by DCS Card Centre in October 2023, she previously worked for the ride-hailing service Grab, which raised issues and public concern over potential conflicts of interest.  ,
In January 2023, she was appointed as Grab’s director of public affairs and plan. She stated that her position as a lawmaker would be different from that at Grab, adding that she would be” open and above board” in whatever power she was representing at any one day.
But nine days later, she was moved to a business development position, with her boss admitting to” major conversation” over her earlier session. She stated that she would not continue to speak for the business in discussions of open plan with the Singapore state.
She was elected to the British Parliament in 2011 and currently serves on the Government Parliamentary Committee ( GPC ) for Communications and Information.
Ms Tin is also a part of the GPC for Culture, Community and Youth, as well as Finance and Trade and Industry.
Prior to joining Grab, she was chief executive officer at Business China, a Singapore non- income company cultivating Singapore- China connections.
