​​​​​​​Singapore diplomat accused of filming teen at Tokyo public bath to be charged in Japan: Report

A Singaporei diplomat is alleged to have filmed a male teen taking a public bath in Tokyo, and is scheduled to face charges in Japan on Thursday ( Jun 13 ).

The 55- season- ancient man&nbsp, has returned to Japan for questioning by the police, Chinese media reported on Thursday ( Jan 13 ).

The original Singapore ambassador in Tokyo’s Tokyo office made an appearance in Japan on June 9 after the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department requested it through the Foreign Ministry, according to the Asahi Shimbun paper. The Tokyo officers next interrogated him.

A councilor is a political level for officials serving outside, such as in an embassy. According to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, a minister may be arrested.

The diplomat used his laptop to quietly film a 13-year-old first-year middle school student in a public bath’s changing area, according to a report released in February. The child was dressed.

Team members at the open bathroom in Tokyo’s Minato Ward officially called the police who, upon arriving, searched the official’s mobile and found “multiple nude photos of female customers”, according to Asahi at that time.

The minister continued, noting that he had taken the photos in various public baths, but that he had refused to go to the police place.

The minister “deleted the photos on the spot” when asked to do so, according to the Chinese media outlet. He reportedly deleted 700 pictures from his cellphone, which he claimed to have taken in the six months leading up to the event.

The diplomat had completed his tour of duty in Tokyo as scheduled and was scheduled to return to Singapore in the middle of April, according to the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( MFA ).

He was suspended from his obligations to aid in studies. He did not notify the department until he was questioned about it, according to MFA.

On May 2, the government stated that it was ready to revoke diplomatic immunity and request assistance with examinations.
