Near-finished Japan condo blocking Mount Fuji to be razed

After receiving protests from neighbors who claimed it obstructed a view of Mount Fuji, a Chinese house engineer has decided to dismantle a nearly finished, 10 metre apartment in Tokyo.

Sekisui House, a company, announced in a statement late on Tuesday ( Jun 11 ) that it had “voluntarily decided to discontinue the project.”

There is no disputing that the present circumstance has a significant impact on the landscape. The perspective from the path has been given priority, it said.

The newly constructed apartments are located in a section of western Tokyo, known for its gorgeous views of Japan’s highest mountain, which appears to jump into the sky from Fujimi or” Fuji Viewing” Street.

The large new block, however, blocks half of the beautiful active volcano, thereby sacrificing this effect.

Despite protests from residents who were glad of the town’s surroundings, construction proceeded, and tenants were scheduled to move into the Kunitachi condo next month.

Developer Sekisui House subsequently released a shocking see stating the challenging may be destroyed.
