In Thailand, almost 15 million foreign visitors came to the country on Thursday, off 38 % from the same period last year, according to government official Chai Wacharonke, who spoke on the phone on Thursday.
Mr. Chai stated that Srettha Thavisin, the prime minister, wants to advance the hospitality sector because it helps to boost the business.

On June 15 and 16, Mr. Chai stated that the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Labour, and the Tourism Council of Thailand will carry a coaching event called” Burn Tourism Thailand: Invoice Skill Shop” to advance the abilities of industry personnel.
He claimed that Thailand’s 14.76 million foreign visitors in the first five months generated more than 700 billion baht in revenue.
The 2.91 million tourists from China topped the list of arrivals, said Mr Chai, who predicted a full- year total of 35 million foreign visitors.
Mr Srettha on Thursday visited the Thai office of Agoda, the world’s biggest hotel booking platform, and talked to its executives.
He expressed his hope that the platform will play a role in helping Thailand’s tourism sector, which is recovering fully from the pandemic, in 2025.
He also discussed ways to increase the frequency of flights to foreign destinations and offer more discount airfares with Airports of Thailand ( AoT), Thai Airways International, and VietJet Air.
