The Cannabis Future Network totally disagrees with the Public Health Ministry’s attempts to reinstate cannabis buds on the narcotics list, according to Prasitchai Nunual, the organization’s secretary-general, who announced yesterday that it would rally at Government House on Tuesday.

He expressed concern that, under the amended regulation, ordinary people would not be able to get medical care because they would need a doctor’s prescription, adding that doctors typically do n’t do this.
In addition to the current regulation that classifies any cannabis extract with more than 0.2 % tetrahydrocannabinol ( THC ) of total weight as a narcotic, the Public Health Ministry announced on Thursday that cannabis buds will also be included as a narcotic drug.
Minister Somsak Thepsuthin remarked that the state has a clear plan that cannabis will only be used for medical care and increasing economic value.
Due to the significant concern about cannabis ‘ illegal recreational usage, particularly among children, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has instructed related organizations to re-list it. The top set a date for this to occur within this year.
He explained that the government will create two new laws, paving the way for the relisting.
They are both governmental regulations to place cannabis up on the list, excluding the foliage, branches, roots, plant and seeds.
The government will also have a permit for people or businesses that want to grow, maintain, import, export or employ cannabis.

He added that it should not be a burden on those candidates to obtain authorization for cannabis use, and it should be designed to stop any illegal recreational use.
The updated oversight will likely take some time to put into effect, helping businesses get ready for the change.
Dr Varoth Chotpitayasunondh, the recently appointed official for cannabis conversation, said the president’s education is regarded as a “guideline”, and that there is also a need for public sessions.
