BANGKOK: Some people on board Singapore Airlines flight SQ321 suffered brain and spinal cord injuries, and six people were in critical condition when they arrived at the , Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital in Bangkok, the hospital’s director said in an update on Thursday ( May 23 ).
One of the many hospitals that took in passengers after the plane had experienced severe turmoil and made an emergency landing in Bangkok is the one that did so.  ,
Twenty- two persons however receiving treatment at Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital as of 3pm on Thursday sustained cervical and spinal cord injuries, while six have skull and brain accidents, said , the patient’s director , Adinun Kittiratanapaibool during a press conference.
Another 13 persons are receiving treatment for accidents involving spine, muscle, and other accidents, bringing the total number of people that to 41. The people range in age from 2 years old to 83 years older.

According to Mr. Kittiratanapaibool, there are 20 people in the ICU at each of Bangkok’s three hospitals, up from last Wednesday. Few details were given regarding the people ‘ conditions at Bangkok and Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital.  ,
Mr Kittiratanapaibool , added that the doctor uses a color- coded method to assess the severity of a patient’s problem when they arrive at the doctor.
On Tuesday, six were classified as dark cases, meaning that their problems were serious and potentially life threatening. As of Thursday, few are in life- disturbing situation, he said.

A 73- yr- ancient English rider, Mr Geoff Kitchen, died on the trip. Neighborhoods informed reporters that he was traveling with his wife for the “holiday of a lifetime.”
On a relief flight to Singapore on Wednesday morning, 131 passengers and 12 crew members made their way to the aircraft.
Another five passengers and one crew member would return to Singapore later on Wednesday, according to the airline, and one crew member would take the plane there on Thursday.
