A basketball team manager in Singapore was sentenced to three years in prison on Thursday ( May 23 ), after having sexual relations with a secondary college student he had trained.  ,
The man, therefore 29, had groomed the child, then 15, by asking her personal issues. He therefore took advantage of her in a team with sports facilities in 2019 in the parking lot.
The 33-year-old man admitted to two of the three counts of physical insertion of a small under the age of 16 in court. His statement was based on the remaining matter.  ,

Between March and April 2017, the accused and the sufferer started messaging each other on Instagram and starting to follow one another daily.  ,
After practice, the accused gradually began taking the sufferer home and eating with her. Also, he offered her free private coaching.  ,
When the survivor was 14 years old, the accused started holding her hands in public and kissing and hugging her in his vehicle in 2018.  ,
” The accused’s care and attention towards the target made her feel special. The accused told her that the sufferer had consented to the arrangement and that he had already married and that they could only be in an “unofficial” marriage.  ,
After the sufferer turned 15 in 2019, the accused started asking her personal issues. He sent her a schedule of issues, including if she had sex previously.  ,
When the accused asked if he could have intercourse with her, the woman declined. The accused, however, persisted in his requests for sexual and she finally agreed.  ,
In the meantime, the girl’s extra school’s principal and the head of the department for co-curricular activities and physical education were informed about the accused’s inappropriate behavior in April 2019.
The accused had improper emails sent to individuals, including female basketball players.  ,
Two students claimed to have received unacceptable messages in 2018 when the main spoke to them.  ,
The communications inquired about a student’s relationship with her boyfriend, inquired about the appearance and numbers of other girls in the classroom, and questioned the extent of the student’s relationship with her boyfriend.  ,
In his information, the accused sent images of girls in bikinis or underwear. He also inquired if the student would permit him to take pictures of her in similar attire.  , After inside studies, the accused was terminated as a sport coach in July 2019.  ,
SEXUAL ACTS WITH VICTIM
