In a knife attack at a primary class in southern Jiangxi province of China, two people were killed and ten others were hurt, according to authorities.
It was not immediately known if babies were among the victims.
The attack took place at about midday ( 04: 00 GMT ) at the school in Guixi city.
Police said it was carried out by a 45- yr- aged woman, who used a berry blade. She has since been controlled, police added in a speech on social media.
Why was the primary school, which in China educate children between the ages of six and twelve, targeted, vague.
In recent months, there have been numerous blade problems in China. A person stabbed two people to death and injured 21 individuals at a clinic in Yunnan, in southern China, last May.
In a private area in Yunnan in August of last year, a person with a history of mental illness attacked people with a blade. In that same area, two people were killed and seven people were injured.
In July that year, six persons, including three kids, were killed in a stabbing at a school in the west- eastern province of Guangdong.
