SINGAPORE: Maximilian Maeder successfully defended his world title after winning the men’s event at the , 2024 Formula Kite World Championships on Sunday ( May 19 ).
The 17- yr- old found off Italy’s world Little 1 Riccardo Pianosi, Austria’s Valentin Bontus and France’s Axel Mazzella to acquire gold in Hyeres, France.
Maeder, who had won the first line, emerged as the favorite heading into the last day of the competition. He was given a farewell to the last because of this, and he did not participate in the semi-finals, which were also held on Sunday.
With his dominant performance in the opening series, the Singaporean also won two races and advanced to the last.
