Poll: Most support relisting cannabis as narcotic

According to a poll conducted by Nida Poll, the majority of Thais help the ideas to re-list marijuana as a prohibited substance.

The National Institute of Development Administration polled 1, 310 people aged 15 and across from different levels of education and employment throughout the nation to find out whether they thought of hemp as a narcotic. The answers complex as follows:

Despite the fact that it is an illegal opiate, 53.74 percent claimed it has health advantages.
33.59 % a narcotic and has no benefits at all
11.60 % not an illegal drug
1.07 % not sure

Asked what they think about the government’s strategies to relist marijuana as an illegal opiate, the responses were as follows:

60.38 % absolutely agreed
15.27 % moderately agreed
14.50 % absolutely disagreed
8.93 % moderately disagreed
0.92 % did not know or were not interested

Asked to give their views on the government’s cannabis plan, the responses were as follows:

74.58 % believed that the plan was put in place for health reasons and the treatment of illness and disease.
19.39 % claimed that there was no need for the government to adopt a law supporting cannabis and cannabis-related goods.
The plan is intended to promote the legal production of cannabis products, according to 10.53 %.
7.40 % viewed the legislation as a way to help increase people’s earnings
3.21 percent said the policy supports outdoor use.
0.99 % did not know or were not interested.
