Ex-auxiliary police officer jailed after keeping seized sex enhancement drugs for personal use

SINGAPORE: A Certis Cisco supplementary police commander who was supposed to seize and change in illegal sex-enhancing pharmaceuticals rather used them for himself. &nbsp,

Mohd Aris Jalil, 66, from Singapore, admitted to one count of unlawful breach of trust and was sentenced to six months in prison on May 7. &nbsp,

Aris was reportedly assigned to one of the foreign workers ‘ management team with the task of carrying out regular inspections and upholding Geylang’s law and order. He was then employed by Certis Cisco and assigned to the Singapore Police Force ( SPF).

Since June 2021, he has served as the group leader for the international workers management team. &nbsp,

Aris was supposed to prosecute offenders and capture illegal items from them as part of his duties. He also was supposed to enforce law and order laws governing the sale of illegal intercourse enhancement drugs. The supplementary police officers and security personnel must acquire the illicit and transport it to designated police stations, where the products may be delivered to the SPF if the criminal could not be detained.

The SPF will then receive the seized goods.

Before Sep. 13, 2022, Aris allegedly stole sex-enhancing medicines from purveyors after joining the team. He had been given the assignment of being an auxiliary authorities agent for the medicines. &nbsp,

Aris kept some of the drugs for himself instead of handing them over as per process, even though they were being stored in a car meant to carry the staff and the illegal.

On August 29, 2022, Aris ‘ team members admitted to crimes that the Corrupt Practices Investigations Bureau ( CPIB ) had been given. These involved two gentlemen, Malaysian Thiru Murugan Shanmugam, an auxiliary police agent, and Singaporean Mohammad Hafizudin Hanapiah, a security officer. &nbsp,

Hafizudin was sentenced to three months and two weeks in jail after accepting bribes from a sex-enhancing medicine salesman in Geylang for abstaining from enforcement. Thiru’s event is still pending before the judges. &nbsp,

CPIB conducted a research and discovered the medication in Aris ‘ hands on September 13, 2022, while they were looking into the crimes.

He had stolen$ 188 worth of sex-enhancing medication for his own use overall. The CPIB arrested the illegal. &nbsp,

Aris ‘ sentence, according to the trial, should be between eight and ten months. According to deputy public prosecutor Kiera Yu, the accused abused his place and violated the respect that SPF had placed in him. He had even committed the offence with some degree of premeditation, Ms Yu added. &nbsp,

Wee Hong Shern, Aris ‘ attorney, claimed that his client had” caught up to temptation” while dealing with “intimate issues” with his wife. &nbsp,

” He had committed the offence never for economic pleasure, but to handle a perceived condition as he wanted his wife to become happier”, said Mr Wee, who added that the offence was “one- off”. &nbsp,

According to Mr. Wee, Aris had been an ancillary police officer for 33 years. &nbsp,

The attorney requested that his client spend three to four weeks in prison. &nbsp,

Aris may have faced a 15-year prison sentence and fine for a legal breach of trust.
