Meth haul found at border

LOEI: Soldiers seized 14 baskets containing through 4.2 million meth pills, which had been left near the border in Chiang Khan area, according to government yesterday.

Lt. Gen. Adul Bunthamcharoen, the captain of the 2nd Army Region, and Maj. Gen. Noratip Poynok, the Surasakmontri Force, reported the epilepsy and seizure of the pull of narcotics. They claimed that men were seized by military patrolling the Thai-Laos borders and that 14 sacks containing 4, 290, 000 ya ba pills had been found.

Authorities discovered the sacks after receiving a tip from nearby informants who claimed a sizable amount of illegal drugs may be smuggled into Laos through Chiang Kan region and Chiang Khan-Tay Road.

According to Mr. Kittikhun, the medications were transported to the Chiang Khan police station.

In addition, two offenders were apprehended in Chiang Mai’s Fang city yesterday morning as part of a law enforcement activity called the Chaiyanupap Special Task Force, Pha Mueang Force, and other organizations.

The suspects– identified just as Yapoo, 36, and Chako, 40, inhabitants of Mae Ai region– were carrying suitcases containing 200, 000 ya ba devices.

Authorities received information that a sale of medicines was passing through tambon le pin’s Ban Suan Cha-Ban Pa Kha Road, which was connected to Ban Suan Cha-Ban Pa Kha Road, which led to the arrests.

As they made their way from the Myanmar borders, officers observed the suspects early yesterday morning at around 6am.
