Xi said China and the Euro if “remain partners” and” hold out proper cooperation” and therefore “make fresh efforts to world peace and development”.
“FLOODING EUROPEAN MARKET”
Europe is concerned that China is fundamentally supporting Russia, which produces weapons using Chinese equipment resources, despite its official neutrality in the Ukraine conflict.
Von der Leyen added that” this does change EU-China relations” and that “more effort is needed to restrict the supply of double use items to Russia that find their way to the battle” after the discussions.
She added that both France and the EU “have a shared interest in peace and protection,” and that China should exert all of its effect on Russia to stop Ukraine’s anger.

Analysts are skeptical that Macron will be able to exert much influence over the Chinese leader, even with the extravagant red carpet visit and a Tuesday trip to the Col du Tourmalet’s chilly mountain air.
Serbia and Hungary, Xi’s and Hungary’s other European nations, are thought to be among those who are most sympathetic to Moscow.
According to Janka Oertel, director of the Asia program at the European Council on Foreign Relations, “it’s unlikely that Macron’s trade and Ukraine messages will have a significant impact on Chinese behavior.”
