If the air force decides to adopt the area that is currently home to the air force’s Kantarat Golf Course, Airports of Thailand ( AoT ) may have to pay at least three billion baht in compensation, according to Defence Ministry spokesman Jirayu Houngsub on Tuesday.

During Tuesday’s gathering with the ad-hoc committee on military forces company transfers, AoT made the announcement that it would use the land between the airports of Don Mueang Airport.

Before, the AoT had said it did not feel the golf course as the room was not fair developing.

Nevertheless, in a new change of heart, it said the area was host walkways that may link the two airports.

Air Vice Marshal Tanachai Arkatwattana, RTAF Director of Welfare, said that a three- billion- ringgit number was calculated for a 30- season contract based on a 90- 100- million- bass annual compensation the AoT is to give the Air Force.

Suriya Juangroongruangkit, the minister of transportation, and Air Chief Marshal Phanpakdee Pattanakul, the minister of transportation, met later that day to talk about the course’s transfer, and he stated that he supported the administration’s” Aviation Hub” plan.

Mr. Suriya claimed that by increasing the power of Don Mueang airport from 55 to 65 planes per hour, civil aviation may benefit from the use of the space.

A ring path, which will pass through Wing 41 of the air force, will also be updated by the secretary.

Options include changing the existing road to make room for an overpass to be built through Wing 41’s place, adding security measures, and using some of the existing road’s parts.
