After supposedly trying to extort$ 200,000 from the owner of a hen running stock by hiring migrant workers, eight police officers in Nakhon Pathom have been suspended from the army.
The factory owner asserts that the officers were disturbed and that the workers were legitimate because she had repeatedly demanded money be donated for “merit-making.”
Pol Maj Gen Suwan Chiewnawinthawat, commander of Nakhon Pathom officers, signed an attempt on Monday pending an investigation into the charges brought against them, a knowledgeable cause said on Tuesday.
Those suspended are Pol Capt Natheephong Harnphanit, assistant research main at Samkwaipuak, Pol Snr Sgt Maj Chaiphuek Puirod, Pol Snr Sgt Maj Prasut Saiphromyad, Pol Snr Sgt Maj Narong Hothong, Pol Sgt Maj Rojjasak Khumkhong, Pol Sgt Chaiwat Tumchim, Pol L/Col Wutthichai Sriphunphan and Pol L/Col Nanthawat Iemjorn.
The owner of a meat processing factory shared her grievance on Facebook and with the municipal police in Nakhon Ptathom. She claimed that five Myanmar migrants were discovered working at the stock after eight Samkwaipuak policemen conducted an inspection on March 29th, 2018.

They reportedly also demanded 200,000 ringgit from the factory landlord, who said she refused to pay. The desire was later reduced to 15,000 ringgit, she said.

A shop owner gave one of the accused soldiers 15,000 baht in a video tape that was widely shared on social media. The other group members were spotted giving the money to the agent.
According to Thairath, officers at the place who disapproved of the activities of the eight accused officials took the picture. It was posted on Twitter, aka X, by a person using the title Red Skull.
The shop owner also claimed that the accused officials frequently extorted money from her, demanding 2,000 to 3,000 baht from her. Because they asked but often, she had recently given them merely 100 baht.
