Seven people were killed when a car veered off the track during a motor contest in Sri Lanka, according to local media reports.
At least 18 people are said to have suffered injuries in the crash on Sunday at the Diyatalawa township’s Fox Hill Supercross competition.
Among the deceased were four competition leaders as well as observers, including an eight-year-old woman, the army says.
The competition is organised by the Sri Lankan army, which has an club in Diyatalawa, and was its 28th work.
More than 100,000 spectators were current. People rushing to the field in the aftermath are captured in observer videos. The occasion was suspended.
Two of the victims, who had been taken to a nearby military doctor, passed away from their wounds. Some of the injured are in a crucial issue.
Authorities are currently looking into it.
