The alleged murder of a church in Sydney on Monday has been labeled a “terrorist act” by American police.
A priest and some churchgoers were stabbed during the sermon, leading to the arrest of a 15-year-old child.
The Christ The Good Shepherd Church in the Wakeley district of was the location of the event that evening.
Authorities say at least four persons were stabbed, but they had no lethal injuries. The event triggered turmoil.
Numerous people gathered outside the cathedral to fight with authorities, two of whom were hurt.
Twenty authorities vehicles were ruined- with 10 remaining unusable.
Police may be searching for those responsible for the riots, according to key director Karen Webb, who described the actions as “unacceptable.”
Chris Minns, the premier of New South Wales, stated:” I convened a gathering of faith leaders representing key religious organizations across Western Sydney.
They also shared the same, widespread, and consistent message that they wanted to spread to their areas:” They deplore violence in all forms, and they trust the New South Wales officers to carry out their investigation.
” They call for peace amongst all areas in Sydney, and most importantly, that citizens remain calm during this evidently disconcerting time. “
Doctors had to flee for safety in the temple and spent more than three hrs it while being “holed up.”
