Edgar Guerot, a Frenchman, has been identified as the popular” Bollard Man” warrior who attempted to stop the criminal during his stabbing rampage on Saturday.

Mr Guerot went face-to-face with Joel Cauchi, who had stabbed customers at a Sydney buying mall. Since then, police have claimed that he was attempting to target people.

Before being shot dead by a female police agent, Cauchi used a long knife to kill six people and injure twelve others.

His absurd act of violence has shocked the nation.

But amid the tragedy, some, including the world’s leaders, have been quick to reward acts of bravery from neighbors to try and stop him.

The picture of Mr. Guerot, who is wearing a bright t-shirt, confronting Cauchi on an elevator, specifically has gone popular.

Local media reported that “had attempted to stop Cauchi advancing up to their stage, where there was a children’s play area outside.”

Mr Guerot says he and a companion Silas Despreaux, both development staff, had just had launched into motion without thinking- acting on natural excitement.

The couple had been on their approach to the gym in the store, when they heard the screaming:” There’s a male stabbing people. “

We simply saw him coming. In an interview with American TV channel Channel Seven on Sunday, Mr. Guerot said,” We need to try to stop him.”

He and Mr Despreaux were standing up above the knife-wielding person at that time. As Cauchi moved onto the stairway, Mr Guerot confronted him at the top, waving a bollard in army.

They were face-to-face for a few hours. ” His vision were like clear eyes… he was n’t there,” Mr Guerot said.

Then Cassi turned and ran back down the flight, with Mr. Guerot and Mr. Despreaux in a fierce achievement.

” We tried to even put the bollard to him but we had n’t [get him],” Mr Guerot said.

He grabbed a seat and headed down Cauchi’s next level. At that point, a police commander was also on Cauchi’s neck, and the gentlemen directed Inspector Amy Scott to her destination. As he lunged at her with the weapon, she shot him dead.

” She was truly the hero, she did the work,” Mr Guerot says. ” We simply followed our orders.” “

Inspector Scott has received praise from the American government, the officers, and the general public for her steps across the country. She has so far declined to speak in public.

However, Mr. Guerot’s deeds have even received a lot of praise.

We even see images of regular Australians putting themselves in danger to support their own people, according to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

New South Wales ‘ state top Chris Minns remarked,” The best in the state faced one of the worst we’ve always seen.”

At the same time, comments have swirled around on social media drumming up support for” Bollard Man”- people calling him a story, a hero, saying he deserves a medal, prize money, different forms of identification.

” This man, trying to hold back a criminal with a bollard really is a warrior,” wrote one user online.

According to Seven Network, Mr. Guerot is currently on a job card that will expire in Australia in a few months. He has already been contacted for an American membership.

But he claims that he and his colleague only act at the moment.

” We just did something to [try ] and catch him. “
