MFA advises Singaporeans against travelling to Iran

SINGAPORE: &nbsp, Singaporeans have been advised to defer all travel to Iran in light of the latest security situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( MFA ) said on Sunday ( Apr 14 ).

Iran fired missiles and violent drones at Israel on Saturday in response to a new attack on its Damascus embassy in Syria that resulted in the death of two senior leaders and seven Revolutionary Guards soldiers. &nbsp,

” Singapore who are in Iran may be diligent and&nbsp, monitor developments closely. Because Singapore has no political presence in Iran, it is unable to provide consular assistance in an emergency, according to MFA. &nbsp,

It urged Singaporeans who are already living in Iran to e-register with the government so that they can get in touch with them if necessary. &nbsp,

Israel has not yet admitted to being responsible for the consulate’s April harm.
