As the fighting has gotten worse, Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin declared that he had instructed the military forces to secure the border with Myanmar and to block any military aircraft from the neighboring nation entering Thai aircraft.

Mr. Srettha claimed that military commander Gen Charoenchai Hinthao gave him updates on the state of affairs along the Thai-Myanmar borders. ” Anything remains under control”, the prime minister said on Friday.

He added that he had instructed the army commander and ACM Phanpakdee Pattanakul, the air force captain, to halt any military plane from Myanmar from entering Thai airport.

” If the issue in Myanmar spills over into Thailand, that’s intolerable. Military aviation intrusion into Thai airport is likewise unacceptable”, he said.

Mr. Srettha added that the government has taken steps to prepare for a planned flood of Burmese individuals who are escaping the fighting across the frontier into Thailand.

ACM Phanpakdee claimed he had contacted the captain of the Myanmar atmosphere power to make sure military aircraft from Myanmar did not enter Thai airport. The Myanmar air army chief is scheduled to visit Thailand second month, according to ACM Phanpakdee.

He claimed that the RTAF’s air defense and radar systems have not yet identified any underwater threats to Thailand’s protection from the country’s surveillance of its flying operations in Myanmar.

ACM Phanpakdee added that, in case of an emergency, he had instructed Wing 4 in Takhli city of Takhli to have a fleet of F-16 fighter jets available for take-off in 15 days.

He claimed that daily conflict air police operations are conducted along the border and close to sensitive areas.

After the besieged junta of Myanmar’s troubled junta lost still more territory in the most recent fighting, Foreign Affairs Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara traveled to the Mae Sot district of Tak province on Friday to assess things.

He was accompanied by the National Security Council’s director- standard, Pol Gen Roy Ingkapairote, and members of the military forces.

A group of people waited at a border crossing yesterday to escape Myanmar after anti-junta weight forces that are growing stronger attacked the strategically important town of Myawaddy.

The junta, which is already struggling with an economy in free fall, is racked up by the town’s decline while supporting rebel groups like the Karen National Union (KNU), which led the abuse on Myawaddy, claim experts.

According to Zaw Min Tun, a spokesperson for the Junta, some of its soldiers had already surrendered because their families were in talks with Thailand regarding their profit.

He did not respond to a request for comment from Reuters.

Myanmar has experienced unrest since 2021, when the potent military ousted an elected civilian government, stoking the country’s desperate attempt with terrible force.

A national armed resistance movement that is today increasingly working in collaboration with established ethnic rebel groups to challenge the military in large parts of the country has evolved from a bubbling rage against the coup.

After the KNU claimed it had taken command of Myawaddy, about 200 Burmese military officers withdrew on Thursday to a bridge connecting Mae Sot.

But the Myanmar military may also request to support a store- attack, supported by its air force, to restore the town, said Dulyapak Preecharush, an interact professor of Southeast Asian Studies at Bangkok’s Thammasat University.

He added that there is a concern about the potential growth in fighting in the near future.

As fighting in Myanmar intensified, the figures crossing to Mae Sot from Myawaddy doubled this week to about 4, 000 a moment.

Sanya Phetset, commander of Mae Sot area, said that temporary homes have been arranged at four nearby churches for more than 10, 000 Burmese people fleeing the battle.

He added that a sports facility in Mae Sot has also been set up as a place of refuge for Thai residents who have been harmed by the battle.

On Friday, the station at the 2nd Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge in tambon Tha Sai Luad reopened as vehicles and automobiles stranded on both sides of the border were permitted to return to their respective nations.

After rebel troops seized the Infantry Battalion 275 army in Myawaddy on Thursday, the frontier station was closed.

About 200 Burmese soldiers flocked to the 2nd Thai- Myanmar Friendship Bridge on the Myanmar side of the border after the army was taken, prompting Thai officials to shut the borders.
