Holidaymakers are anticipated to experience searing heat during the water-splash festival because the overall Thai country celebrates Songkran.

After some parts of the country experienced summer storms over the past few weeks, Surajit Jit-areerat, a work official at the Meteorological Department, on Friday predicted warm weather conditions across the nation, including Bangkok over the weekend.

” It’s going to be hot and popular after the summer hurricanes”, the national told CU Radio.

The ministry advised people to avoid being outdoors for too long and predicted heat in some areas, including the capital, may rise up to 41 levels in the coming weeks.

The state observes the Thai New Year’s Day trip from Friday through Tuesday. Although Songkran Day this year falls on Saturday, several regions, including Hat Yai city, have now begun pouring liquid on Thursday night.

The Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2024 was officially inaugurated on Thursday by the Hospitality and Sports Ministry. The ministry’s planned celebration in Bangkok runs until Monday.
