Monkey Man, the directing debut of American actor Dev Patel, was shown last week in Singapore. Those who managed to catch the movie might have noticed a common experience in the cast.
Local actor Mathi Alagan, whom many Singaporeans will remember as Bhaskar Ram in Mediacorp long- form drama , Tanglin , ( 2015 ), or Sanjay Devaraj in , Code Of Law , ( 2012 ), plays a guns dealer in the India- set action- thriller.
Mathi is also known for his performances in Tamil plays, and in the 2018 Indonesian film , Villavan: The Vigilante.
On Sunday ( April 7 ), Mathi took to Instagram to share his scene from the film.
” Glad beyond words for the amazing opportunity to be a part of , Monkey Man , helmed by a true legend in the industry. Working with Dev Patel has been a total honor and a workshop in itself,” remarked Mathi.
Mathi thanked Patel for trusting him in the position and expressed his delight at being a part of it.
