According to reputable sources, the Myanmar government has requested authorization for an aircraft to land in the Mae Sot city of Tak to pick up any officers and their relatives who have fled Myawaddy.
According to sources, a demand for a Myanmar aircraft to land at Mae Sot aircraft from Sunday through Tuesday was submitted to the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday night.
617 military commanders and their families were taken from Myawaddy, which had been taken by rebel racial forces, by the helicopters.
An ATR 72- 600 flight of Myanmar Airways landed in Mae Sot at 9.20pm on Sunday. No migrants showed up after about an afternoon of waiting. The planes returned to Myanmar.
