More than 600 people still stranded in Taiwan, three days after deadly earthquake

More than 600 people remained stranded in different places cut off by rockslides and another damage, including about 450 at a resort in the Taroko area.

However, to rescue stranded customers, planes from the National Airborne Service Corps were flying into closed-off areas close to the Taroko National Park.

One flight brought 12 people to safety, according to an AFP worker, and the subsequent brought 16 people to security.

” Priority was given to the elderly, the poor, women, children, and people with chronic illnesses”, said Taiwan news site ET Today.

” Although everyone was tired after coming down the mountain, they all still showed smiles”.
