KANCHANABURI: On Thursday night, 58 people from Myanmar were detained after crossing the border without legal immigration into the Thong Pha Phum city.

Around 6 a.m., local authorities, soldiers, and police discovered the 45 males and 13 women hiding in a wooded area close to a tank in the border district’s Thong Pha Phum district’s Thong Pha Phum district’s Thong Pha Phum district’s Thong Pha Phum district’s Thong Pha Phum area.

All were Myanmar citizens without go records.

During questioning, they told officials that they had paid 15, 000 to 25, 000 ringgit each to work agents for promised labor in Thailand.

All cases were turned over to the local authorities for legal action.

In just over a year, there were two improper border crossing arrests in the area. On March 13, government detained 22 illegal migrants — 17 gentlemen and five girls — in Thong Pha Phum area.

The Myanmar citizens said they had paid between 13, 000 and 15, 000 ringgit each to brokers for employment in Thailand. They were waiting for transportation to their jobs because they had improperly crossed the border.
