Teacher Preecha gets jail sentence in lottery tickets dispute

Preecha Kraikruan, a former police who claimed she stole the cards, was given a two-year sentence by the Kanchanaburi Provincial Court on Wednesday.

The court immediately set the prison term at three years, next commuted it to two years without suspension because the 56- year- older teacher of Buddhism&nbsp, had given valuable testimony.

The teacher’s original prosecutor Worayuth Boonwongsai was acquitted on related charges. Preecha’s present lawyer applied for his lawyer’s release on bail pending charm. &nbsp,

Preecha was detained at his class in February 2018 after a previous complaint against Pol Lt. Jaroon Wimool for stealing and stealing home.

Preecha claimed to be the true owner of the five raffle cards that won the first prize worth 30 million baht on November 1, 2017. He claimed that he had purchased the tickets in soon October 2017 and finally lost them.

Pol Lt Jaroon, who had the cards, sued Preechan for falsely accusing him of a murder.

In June 2022, the Supreme Court dismissed&nbsp, Preecha’s claim of ownership of the reward- winning cards.

Pol Lt Jaroon, 68, had much previously claimed the 30- million- ringgit award from the Government Lottery Office and received 29.85 million ringgit after taxes. Both Preecha and him are both natives of Kanchanaburi’s Muang area, where they were both trained as Buddhist teachers at Thepmongkol Rangsee School in Muang region.
