Pritam Singh to continue all parliamentary, town council duties until legal process comes to ‘complete close’

Pritam Singh, the head of the Workers ‘ Party, stated on Tuesday ( Mar 19 ) that he would carry out all parliamentary duties and town council responsibilities until the legal process involving his accusations comes to a” complete conclusion.” &nbsp,

He was accused of making false claims in front of a parliamentary committee on Tuesday in connection with a fabricated statement that his group’s former senator Raeesah Khan made in the House in 2021.

The 47- season- older, who is also the Leader of the Opposition, pleaded not guilty to two charges under the Parliament ( Privileges, Immunities and Powers ) Act.

” Until the constitutional procedure comes to a full shut, I will proceed with all my political duties and town council responsibilities – including, but not limited to, fulfill- the- people sessions, estate walks, house visits, Hammer outreaches, amongst others”, he said in a Facebook post. &nbsp,
