MFP makes Chiang Mai bid

Former executive director of the National Innovation Agency ( NIA ), Pun- Arj Chairatana, has been chosen by the main opposition group, Move Forward Party ( MFP ) to challenge for the presidency of Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization ( PAO ).

Over the weekend, the MFP executive council made the decision universally.

Thassanee Buranupakorn, an MFP associate who likewise put herself forward, said in a broadcast interview yesterday that she supports the decision but may then join a social group that is connected to Boonlert Buranupakorn, her aunt, and past Nakhon Chiang Mai mayor.

Previous Pheu Thai MP Ms. Thassanee defected to the MFP after the ruling party switched sides in order to form a partnership with political parties close to the coup.

The MFP’s choice to contest native politics comes as a result of a legal dispute over its position on the stability majeste law, which could possibly end the major opposition party.

In Chiang Mai’s general election next year, the decision Pheu Thai Party won only two chairs, while the MFP won seven House chairs.

After convicted former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s attend to Chiang Mai, commonly regarded as an attempt to reclaim Pheu Thai’s hold in the state, the opening of Mr. Pun- Arj took place.

Pichai Lertpongadisorn represented the Pheu Thai Party in Chiang Mai’s earlier PAO election, which was won by the group.
