Court orders sacked MP Pareena to pay cost of by-election

After being disqualified two years ago, former MP Pareena Kraikupt was ordered by the Ratchaburi Provincial Court to give the 7.6 million bass value of the by-election to get her replacement.

The court ruled on March 11 that the former Palang Pracharath Party ( PPRP ) MP must pay 7.6 million baht, plus interest, to the Election Commission, which had to organise the by- election on May 21, 2022.

The Supreme Court forbade Ms Pareena from holding her seats because of a moral violation.

The judge will seize the property listed under her title to cover the amount if the bill is not paid within 30 times of the decision. If she disobeys the attempt, she runs the risk of being detained and put in jail.

No one who answered the door on Saturday at the time of the posting of the purchase to the doorway of her registered address.

During her tenure as a member of the PPRP, Ms. Pareena was the subject of an investigation launched by the National Anti-Corruption Commission.

The Supreme Court, which found that 665 ray of the 711 ra property she owned as a chicken farm in Chom Bueng district, had a stake in a state-owned forest reserve, ordered Ms Pareena to lose her political status. &nbsp, &nbsp,

Additionally, the judge forbids Ms. Pareena from serving in any social office for life and from casting any election for ten years.

In Chom Bung and Photharam regions, a by-election was held to fill the vacancy following her loss of her chair. It was won by Chaithip Kamolpantip of the Democrat Party, with 51, 743 seats. She must&nbsp, pay the cost of organising that by- vote.
