Duo jailed for maid abuse

Her boyfriend, who served as her companion, was given a sentence of more than eight years in prison for abusing her lady, while her former police officer was given a sentence of more than eight years.

The decision was rendered by the Ratchaburi Provincial Court on Thursday. The plaintiffs, identified as Kornsasi Buayaem, 46, the former police officer, and Komsit Jangpanich, 52, were found guilty of rape.

The two were accused of committing several crimes, including human trafficking, forced labour, ownership of weapon, deprivation of liberty and natural abuse.

The victim, identified as Pattama Sirirat, worked at Kornsasi’s espresso shop and was urged to join the military.

But, the victim was eventually forced to resign from the defense to function as a complete- time maid at Kornsasi’s house.

The victim claimed that Kornsasi and her boyfriend burned her with an electronic curl and a gun while they were employed at the house. The target claimed that a metal bar struck her and also caused damage to her head and head.

She claimed she endured the mistreatment for two decades because Komsit claimed to be the son of a local politician and that Kornsasi claimed she was the partner of a legislator in Nakhon Pathom. The target claimed that she made the decision to ultimately report a complaint to the police about the two in August of last year. Both individuals voluntarily surrendered. The defendants allegedly assaulted the sufferer physically, according to the court.

Komsit was found guilty of possessing a tool and breaking labor laws governing the minimum wage, while Kornsasi was found guilty of bribery and forcing the sufferer to repress her.

In consequence, Komsit received a month and 38 months in jail while Kornsasi received eight decades and 66 times.

Kornsasi was also given the order to pay 365, 620 ringgit for the sufferer. Moreover, the two were also ordered to jointly substitute the sufferer with another 350, 616 ringgit.

However, the defendant’s lawyer told investigators that she would file an appeal to raise the prison term.
