After discovering that the plots are still contained within Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima province, the Agricultural Land Reform Office ( Alro ) has revoked land rights granted to 10 owners.
For the same purpose, the company has also abandoned plans to give 26 applicants in the same place additional plots.
Vinaroj Sapsongsuk, the provincial company in Nakhon Ratchasima, on Thursday ordered the municipal office to withdraw ownership of 13 plots totaling 342 rai ( 135 acres ), which are currently leased to 10 proprietors who benefited from the Sor Por Kor 4- 01 plan. These narratives are still within the Pak Chong district’s boundaries of the regional area, according to an investigation.
The allocation of another 45 plots covering 937 rai ( 370 acres ) to 26 land seekers has also been called off, despite these plots being surveyed and prepared for distribution. In total, these two cases cover 1, 279 rai ( 505 acres ) of land.
The Department of Nation Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, which asserts that the contested property and rights belong to Khao Yai, has jurisdiction over the areas in dispute. According to Alro, the property was given to impoverished farmers by the cabinet after being approved for distribution under the land reform plan. It is located outside the park boundary.
The 10 landowners who have been affected by the reclaiming the property will soon be informed by the municipal workplace.
Owners who are robbing themselves of their ownership rights have the option to record a problem with Alro within 30 days, Mr. Vinaroj said, providing information, including proof of their status as impoverished producers. They may take the case to the Administrative Court, he added.
Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Capt Thamanat Prompow stated last week that the Defence Ministry had stepped in to create a One Map technique that would resolve any disputes over land ownership across the country.
There should be “one terrain, one law”, he said.
