Tourist gets jail for spiking woman’s drink with erectile dysfunction drug in ‘act of revenge’

Before leaving the scene, Kim Donghun injected some medication to treat erectile dysfunction into her drink after a person objected to his photographs of her in public.

The victim noticed white powder on the vinyl cover after consuming numerous sips of the glass. She called the police right away.

Kim, a 33-year-old South Korean, was given a four-month jail term on Tuesday ( Mar 12 ) for his actions last year. He admitted guilt on a fee of inflicting pain through poison in the state courts.

He claimed through an interpreter that he had no desire to offend anyone sexually at the time and that he” was hardly control his emotions.”

WHAT HAPPENED

The incident occurred at Trifecta, a Somerset-based activities and lifestyle service that first opened in October 2023, according to the jury.

Kim took photos of people surfing at the center on November 28, 2023. The victim was present along with her partner and a different companion.

Due to a court order to safeguard her individuality, she may be identified.

Kim approached her after discovering her beautiful and then confronted her about the pictures he had taken, but she was furious that he had done it without her consent and therefore turned away from him. He was enraged by her visible discontent.

He walked over to the board where she had left her items, including a bottle of bubbles drink. Prior to this, he had already dissolved a bright capsule filled with water in his own drink.

The victim’s beverage was then poured into a hole in the plastic handle, which Kim next tore.

When the survivor came back, she noticed the handle was torn, but she assumed one of her companions was the one who was responsible. She began to feel excited as she drank from the pot.

She soon stopped eating and called the police when she noticed white powder on the cover.

The  Health Sciences Authority ( HSA ) conducted an analysis that revealed traces of Tadalafil, a type of medication used to treat erectile dysfunction. It is a listed venom under the Drugs Act and may cause nausea and headaches.

Kim made his crimes known when he was confronted with closed-circuit broadcast images.

He falsely claimed to have purchased male enhancement pills for his use and had put one of them in his water jug.

According to Deputy Public Prosecutor David Menon,” He had been angry with the target and rose her drink as an act of revenge.”

Thought” REMORSEFUL AND Innocent”

The prosecutor requested six to eight months of prison time, taking into account the somewhat some contributing factors to this case.

He argued, however, that the government was concerned about maintaining trust in Singapore’s public spaces.

Kim&nbsp, who made his appearance via a movie connection from remand&nbsp, told the judge in mitigation that he left Singapore after the crime, but that he returned on December 29 because he felt “remorseful and innocent” back home.

He claimed he did not believe his actions may harm the target but acknowledged the negative effects of Tadalafil.

He apologised to the target and the Trifecta, expressed his dread, and promised to avoid breaking the law in Singapore and South Korea.

” At the time, I could n’t control my feelings because I could n’t understand English when I spoke to the victim.” Through the translator, he continued,” I mistook her English, everything that angered myself and led me to take such activities.”

Kim may have received a 10-year prison sentence as well as a fine or a cane for inflicting harm through poison.
