Shania Twain’s journey from a violent household to ‘liberation’ is traced in ‘Not Just A Girl’ documentary on Netflix

The particular legendary singer says music stored her from a violent father in Timmins, Ont., but that her mother fully supported her dreams, taking her to local bars in order to sing when her father was sleeping.

Twain also reveals that she believed at one point she would never perform again as a result of the Lyme disease infection.
“My symptoms were quite scary because prior to I was diagnosed, I was on stage, very dizzy, I was losing our balance, I was scared I was going to drop off the stage, ” she said. “I was having… millisecond blackouts, but frequently, every minute or every 30 seconds. My voice has been never the same again. It just entered this strange flanging, lack of control… I thought I lost my voice forever, I believed that was it, I might never, ever sing again. ”
While fighting the effects of Lyme disease she found out her husband, music manufacturer and song author Mutt Lange, was having an affair with her best friend.
“In that research to determine what was leading to this lack of control with my tone of voice and this change in my voice, I was facing a divorce, my husband leaves me for another female, ” Twain said, adding, “Now i am at a whole various other low and I merely don’t see every point in going on that has a music career. micron
Your wife continued: “When My spouse and i lost Mutt I reckon that I thought, I was thinking that the grief of these was, it was in the same way intense to burning off my parents and it was like death,… a permanent ending to so many tasks of my life, and I by no means got over this is my parents’ death.
