SINGAPORE: A building contractor at a Jurong Region Line work site fell on 7.5 meters over the edge of the unfinished program and passed away early on January 4.
Along Jurong West Street 75, where the future Gek Poh station may be, the incident happened at around 2.30 a.m.  ,
The employee, a 27-year-old Burmese nationwide, was taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, where he passed away from his wounds.  ,
In response to questions on Saturday ( Jan 6 ) and adding that it takes a” serious view” of safety incidents, the Land Transport Authority ( LTA ) immediately halted all work activities at the site.
” All worksites were also given a security delay.” Additionally, we are supporting the Ministry of Manpower’s inquiries into the incident, it continued.
” We are working with our companies to provide them with support and assistance, and we share our deepest sympathies with the family of the deceased contractor.”
The Manpower Ministry claimed in its statement that the employee was erecting a software when he fell.
