Watch: How earthquake shook Japan on New Year’s Day

Japan has experienced a strong earthquake that has left behind huge waves and building harm.

Officials urged residents of coastal areas to relocate to higher ground after the 7.6-magnitude earthquake occurred in Noto territory on Honshu area.

Numerous houses have collapsed in some cities, trapping a number of people under the dust, though the entire extent of the damage is however unknown.

As a result of the Chinese military providing food, water, and pillows to those who are being forced to leave their homes, thousands of people are spending the night in removal centers.

A significant storm warning was given, but it was eventually changed to a notice and then an “advisory.”
