Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and Parliament President Wan Muhamad Noor Matha have set a motto to mark National Children’s Day which will focus on promoting democracy.
National Children’s Day falls on the second Saturday of every January, which is Jan 13 next year.
The motto from Mr Srettha is: “Explore the world, think creatively, embrace diversity, and jointly build democracy.”
Mr Srettha said he hopes all children enjoy their time while being curious and open-minded and that they learn to value diversity to help build a strong democratic society.
He said the government is committed to promoting an environment for them to thrive.
Mr Wan Noor’s motto for the young is: “Develop self-discipline, be public-spirited and cherish democracy.”
