How should I proceed if I have an EV connector?
All EV batteries may be registered under the new rule before they can be used, according to LTA.
Using the kind- approval Card found on the charger’s approval label, fresh EV chargers can get registered using the OneMotoring website. If their batteries do not have the acceptance brand, EV cable owners can get in touch with their suppliers.
To obtain a “provisional Card” for registration, current proprietors of EV chargers installed before December 8 may give LTA their charger information. The following information is needed:
- Manufacturer
- Reference design name/type and nbsp,
- Installation time and nbsp,
- A certificate or shipping invoice serves as evidence of buy.
- the number of batteries that must be registered and nbsp
- Images of each cable with the nameplate of the manufacturer
- Private information of the applicant
Owners of EV chargers may receive a registration mark after successfully registering them for both new and existing models. This level must be clearly visible on the charger within 60 days of registration.  ,
Unregulated EV chargers may still be used by current owners up until June 7, 2024.
Utilizing any unlicensed EV charger may be illegal starting on June 8, 2024. First-time criminals does receive a fine of up to S$ 10,000 and/or been sentenced to six months in prison.
Are there incentives available to assist EV cable owners with membership fees?
To “recover the costs associated with the regulation regime,” according to LTA, there will be a one-time charge of S$ 750 for the subscription of an EV cable.  ,
However, in order to aid the early adoption of EV chargers, the government does offer “time-bound subsidies.”  ,
If their programs are submitted by June 7, 2024, masters of existing EV chargers bought and installed before December 8 may have their enrollment fee waived.
