At a wharf in Chachoengsao’s Bang Pakong area on Monday night, police detained 13 fleeing suspects and seized 2 tonnes of crystal meth.

The medicines were thought to be headed for Australia and the Philippines.

Around 9.30 p.m. on Monday, sea and drug reduction police searched the seafaring push Srimongkolsap at the TNS Bangpakong jetty in the Bang Pakong city after receiving information about a drug trafficking operation, according to police.

People attempted to flee by jumping from the boat into the river as the officers drew near. 13 of them, all Thai, were apprehended by authorities. ( Coninues are below )

In houses below deck, the investigators discovered 90 cardboard containers containing 2, 000 kilograms of crystal meth. According to Marine Police Division chief Pol Maj Gen Pharitphong, the drugs were compressed and concealed in sacks of dried fruits to mask the odor.

He claimed that once the tug entered international waters, authorities had learned that the pirates intended to ship the drugs to other ships. The medications were intended for the Philippines, Australia, and different nations. &nbsp,

The seized drugs were examined at the pier by Pol Maj Gen Somboon Thiankhao, deputy chief of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau ( NSB), and Assistant National Police Chief Samran Nuanma.

The seized medicines and all suspects were turned over to NSB investigators for legal actions.
