JERUSALEM: On Saturday, November 4, police detained protesters who were protesting outside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home. This was done in response to popular outrage over the failures that resulted in the dangerous Hamas gunmen attack on Gaza Strip communities last month.
Hundreds of people pushed through authorities barriers in front of Netanyahu’s Jerusalem home while waving blue and white Jewish flags and shouting” Jail now!”
The demonstration highlighted the growing public outrage at their social and security officials and coincided with a crown showing that more than three-quarters of Israelis think Netanyahu should retire.
Netanyahu has not yet taken personal responsibility for the errors that enabled the surprise attack that on October 7 saw lots of Hamas gunmen rage into southern Israel, killing more than 1,400 people and kidnapping at least 240 people.
As the first shock subsided, people outrage increased, with many of the hostages’ families in Gaza vehemently criticizing the government’s response and pleading for their loved ones to be returned back.

According to health officials in the Hamas-run place, Israel has launched a fierce air and ground offence in Gaza since the attack, killing more than 9, 000 people and razing much of the enclave.
Netanyahu had been a controversial figure even before the battle, fighting corruption allegations, which he denies, and enacting legislation to curtail judicial authority that drew hundreds of thousands of people to the roads to voice their disapproval.
According to a poll conducted on Saturday for Israel’s Channel 13 Television, 64 % of Israelis believe Netanyahu, who is currently serving his sixth term as prime minister, should retire, and 64 percent believe an election should be held right away following the war.
According to the poll, when asked who was most responsible for the attack, 44 % of Israelis blamed Netanyahu, 33 % the military chief of staff and senior IDF officials, and 5 % the Defense Minister.
