SINGAPORE: As part of improvements to increase social mobility, the ComLink program will provide more assistance to lower-income people living in rented accommodation, according to Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Thursday( Oct 19 ).
According to Mr. Wong, the Ministry of Social and Family Services ( MSF ) will train ComLink officers to become family coaches, working more closely with each family to mentor and inspire them to accomplish their objectives.
This implies that they will perform duties other than those of managing the social service offered at the moment.
” They did…” perform a stronger role in collaborating with each family to identify the individualized help that each needs. This will guarantee that ComLink people get the proper assistance at the appropriate moment, according to Mr. Wong.
According to him, the roughly 14,000 ComLink families will also receive extra support as a result of certain action plans that the household coaches and their families have jointly developed.
Without stating the specific assistance that will be provided to the families, Mr. Wong said,” We can acquire a higher particle of support or even longer-term assistance to families that make progress in places like staying employed, saving to purchase homes, or ensuring their children attend school often.”
” Home coaches will be able to use this extra help to motivate and inspire the households to pursue success.” “”
As the families move closer to achieving their long-term objectives, there are strategies to help relieve their immediate financial burdens, he said.
According to Mr. Wong,” These are some of the concepts that we have been considering and are continuing to develop under the Forward Singapore practice.”
You will soon receive a statement from us, and you will be able to see the wide range of advice.
