Govt's cash bonus to be paid through 'super app'
Julapun: App will go live in the first months of next year.

According to Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat, the creation of a” very software” will be finished in time for the implementation of the 10, 000-baht digital wallet system, which is tentatively scheduled for early next month.

He claimed that the creators of the wireless application, which is meant to be an all-in-one solution, insist that it come sit when the 10, 000 baht handout is released sometime between February and March of next year.

He added that some features would be added for the planned register the following month, but not all of them will be available at once and will only be activated when necessary.

Vendors who are not a part of the official duty system, according to Mr. Julapun, are unable to transfer the funds in their digital wallets into money, but they are still able to use the remaining funds to buy from other tax payers.

He claimed that because there are only about 54.8 million people who are eligible to receive the handouts, no 56 million, the system may cost less than 560 billion ringgit.

He continued,” This is not to mention those who do not want to participate.”

The users of two sub-committees under the electric pocket plan committee, according to Commerce Minister Phumtham Wechayachai, were presented to the prime minister for approval on Monday.

The sub-committees on public opinions and legal issues would be overseen by Nikorn Chamnong, director of the Chartthaipattana Party, and Wutthisarn Tanchai, secretary-general of King Prajadhipok’s Institute( KPI ).

He insisted that in order to improve the plan, the government may consult the general public, citing the need to boost the economy.

Yesterday, Democrat acting president Jurin Laksanawisit criticized Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin for urging supporters of the digital budget plan to speak out against the policy’s detractors.

He claimed that because the prime minister may be spending their money, those who raised concerns about the plan had a right to voice their concerns.

He claimed it was improper for the prime minister to mobilize the populace in support of the contentious scheme.

And from the beginning, no one called for the distribution of 10,000 rmb, according to Mr. Jurin.

He continued,” A political party floated the idea to win over voters’ help during the election campaign, and it must put it into practice and accept responsibility as well.”
