PATTAYA: An Indian visitor sought help from police after a robber snatched his precious metal necklace on Pattaya beach late Friday night.

The tourist, identified only as Karthikeyan, 43, filed the complaint with Pol Col Sombat Kaewmulsuk, deputy investigation main at the Pattaya police station, around 11. 30pm on Fri shortly after the event.

This individual told the officer that he had left his accommodation to stroll around the seaside town. As he had been walking along the part of the road next to Pattaya beach, the motorcyclist ridden with a woman pulled up and his gold pendant worth about thirty, 000 baht had been snatched. The driver then sped away.

He said he had been shocked as it happened in an area where there were many vacationers at the time.

Police found no traces of the thief but are evaluating security video through cameras along the route to get possible clues in regards to the suspect.
