Cops hunt Myanmar teen over ex-envoy’s slaying

Wichit Chitwiman, a former Thai embassy to Denmark who was stabbed to death at his Chatuchak house over the weekend, was the subject of an arrest warrant from the Criminal Court in connection with the crime.

Sai Myat Moi, 19, a worker for Wichit, was named as the suspect by Deputy Metropolitan Police Bureau director Pol Maj Gen Noppasilp Poonsawat yesterday.

The believe, according to him, may have already crossed the border into Myanmar. For the suspect’s assistance in finding him, Thai authorities may ask for an Interpol Red Notice.

On Sunday, Wichit, 63, was discovered inside his home on a cover house on Vibhavadi Rangsit 20 Road, dying with three attack wounds to his chest.

Two blades covered in blood were discovered at the landscape. According to Pol Maj Gen Noppasilp, the weapons were thought to be among those kept in the home’s home.

Authorities report that Wichit was last heard from on September 27. Officers discovered that the assume had started working for Wichit at the home on September 19, according to his family, who claimed that he had moved to the residence on Sept 9.

Police thought assault was the motivation. Product laptops and mobile devices from Wirit were not present in the home.

Investigators claimed that the suspect withdrew a sizable sum of money — a six-figure sum — from an ATM outside of the shopping center just hours after the murder was thought to have occurred. Since then, he has vanished.
