At the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center( QSNCC ), the Sustainability Expo 2023 ( SX2023 ) is providing a” blind experience” to aid people in comprehending the world of the visually impaired.

The biggest quarterly conservation event in the Asean area is SX2023. It also focuses on issues that affect susceptible populations.

A” Nice to see you” workshop where participants are blindfolded before touching drawings made of woollen fabric on paper is one of the” blind” activities.

People can visualize the drawing’s appearance and what its artist wanted to convey by touching the cotton texture. Individuals who are blindfolded even mimic how deaf people focus on sounds around them.

Additionally, there is a learning-in-the-dark action that simulates how people experience situations in real life through visual perception, such as sound, temperature, touch, taste, and smell, in the dark. This activity also allows people who are blind to communicate with others using canes or braille blocks on footpaths.

Participants in the activity will also be able to make craft in a dark environment and learn how to eat like deaf people.

The knowledge is being held at QSNCC in space 201 on the second floor for eight rounds per time, free of charge, until nbsp, Sunday. The duration of each round is around 45 hours.
