PHETCHABURI: On Thursday, the staff of a fishing vessel discovered the rotting carcass of an abandoned Bryde’s whale off Cha-am beach in the Cha – am district of this lower main province.
Veterinarians from the Marine and Coastal Resources Research and Development Center as well as representatives from catastrophe prevention and mitigation were led to the exam location by Chokchai Athikpali, manager of the Phetchaburi Marine Resources Conservation Centre.
The dying Bryde’s giant was between 5 and 6 years old and between 10 and 13 meters long. At least ten days earlier, the animal was thought to have passed away. A bad odor emanated from the decaying corpse throughout the region.
To determine the cause of death, the pediatricians examined the corpse after it was towed to Cha-am Beach.
In case they come across a sick or dead unique marine creature, Mr. Chokchai urged fishing to contact the Phetchaburi Marine Resources Conservation Centre at any time through emergency number 1362.
