The third and final full-scale test activity for SAMUT PRAKAN – SAT-1, a new dish connector at Suvarnabhumi airport, was completed successfully on Thursday night before the soft opening scheduled for Sept 28.
The Suvarnabhumi airports director, Kittipong Kittikachorn, announced on Friday that the next full-scale trial operation, which ran from 8 p.m. until midnight, focused on the outgoing passenger process during the night. It was intended to make sure that the nighttime operations, which call for different assistance techniques from the daytime ones, including lighting at all support points, were going without a hitch.
He claimed that Thai Vietjet, which provided its plane, staff, ground service tools, and personnel for the preliminary operation, as well as the immigration police, customs officials, Thailand’s Aeronautical Radio and Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services Plc, all provided full support to the airport.
The aircraft has now finished all three full-scale test operations, and it will seek feedback from all parties to enhance its operations in order to be prepared for the SAT-1 terminal’s gentle opening on September 28th, the official added.

The official opening of this new Suvarnabhumi & nbsp terminal is expected to take place in the first half of 2027.
