US to provide US$116 million in humanitarian aid for Myanmar, Bangladesh

WASHINGTON: According to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the US will give Myanmar, Bangladesh, and the surrounding area an further$ 116 million in humanitarian assistance to help Rohingya refugees who have fled Myanmar.

Since August 2017, when over 740, 000 Rohingya fled genocide, the United States has provided more than$ 2.2 billion in total assistance to those affected by the crisis in Myanmar, Bangladesh, and the surrounding area, according to Blinken.
