China braces for more harsh weather after tornado kills 10

BEIJING: On Wednesday( Sep 20 ), a day & nbsp, an after-andain’s b spm, violent & n p o t r e wreaked havoc in the eastern province of Jiangsu, killing 10 pp, and officials stepped up warnings about heavy rain and strong winds in several regions, according to state media.

Authorities have issued a call for vigilance against solid winds in coastal regions near the Yellow Sea off Jiangsu in response to the most recent incident in days of dangerous and deadly weather andnbsp.

Twitter images of Tuesday’s” tornado & nbsp” showed overturned cars, downed power lines, and flying debris, much of which was scattered throughout the streets of Suqian, a city in the northern province.

One user of the well-known social media site Weibo wrote,” I was at the doorway and saw the wind, solar energy products, and branches flying in the air.” ” For those two hours, I was completely perplexed.”

Suqian and Yancheng, two responsibility regions, were reportedly impacted, according to broadcaster CCTV. At 5.20 PM( 2120 GMT ) in Suqian, the tornado & nbsp suddenly struck a densely populated area, causing damage to 1, 646 homes and destroying acres of crops. Five people were killed and four were seriously injured.

According to CCTV, The & nbsp, a tornado, and then ripped through Yancheng, killing five and more and injuring four others.

Weather & nbsp issued warnings on Wednesday as well for several locations in southwest Guizhou, southern Hunan, eastern Anhui, and central Hubei.

In the wake of relentless storms brought by the remnants of Typhoon Haikui, torrential rain recently lashed & nbsp, China’s southeast, causing massive evacuations, landlides, and deaths.
