The Hungarian embassy recently organized a Teqball-table handover ceremony with contributions to several Thai companies.
Teqball, invented in Hungary in 2012, is a football-based sport played on a curved surface known as a Teq desk.
Seven Thai organisations received the tables: the Tourism and Sports Ministry, the Asia Paralympic Committee, Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, the Sports activities Authority of Asia, the Football Organization and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
According to the embassy, it donated eight Teqball tables each at a cost of 1, 599 euros (about 60, 000 baht).
Hungary’s ambassador to Thailand, Sandor Sipos, said Teqball represented creativity plus innovation.
